Maybe you've already noticed, but I rarely do fanarts (simply because I forget to make them when I'm drawing xD). Well this drawing is a fanart (what a plot twist !).
It's a fanart of Lore Olympus, a webtoon (available here : www.webtoons.com/en/romance/lo…) by Rachel Smythe (or Usedbandaid Illustration ). I love her work, for the visual side (that's so beautiful) and for the story. Indeed, she create her own story while being inspired by the myth of the abduction of Persephone (you can't see it on my post but the setting of the story is modern, with cars, smartphones and buildings...). Admittedly, the author takes some liberties in her rewriting, but :
1- it's hard to rewrite this myth without modify it too much and to add a romantic aspect to it at the same time (I remind you that, at the basis, Persephone is kinapped and held prisonner by Hades, her uncle, who want to have it as his wife)
2- she can give more easily her messages which, even by being illustrated by gods, are mortals' stories.
By the way, I'm impatient to see Persephone's evolution which seems to be quite promising.
