RID2015 has started and I'm in love with it! So many nods to Primeverse, so many characters to love, great story and the jokes are fucking funny as shit.I'm ready to grow with this series, and I cannot wait to see where we go.
In 3 to 4 years I will come back to this piece and remark on the series as a whole. Obviously there will be plenty of fanart along the way, and NO I will not be forgetting about TFP I promise you all.

this is wonderful artwork. It sums up the series nicely despite the sort of anime thing I am seeing there, but i had to ask: if it is a sequel to transformers prime, then why are all the decepticons animal themed? I mean, crazybolt and underbite are enough proof. Even kickback is weird, and I get he is an insecticon, but hardshell did not have a car mode and he had a normal, and kind of awesome, robot mode. It seems the only normal ones are filch, fracture, and chop shop (well, chop shop turns into 5 beasts but it still counts because his primary robot form is a humanoid look) and some of them have the weirdest names! For example, ped was kind of ridiculous, and pseudo was kind of strange, but I assume it means something, so it is okay. But overall, my favorite decepticons have to be chop shop due to him being a cool guy and he is a combiner, scorponok as he was an awesome enemy in all the series I have watched, and fracture and his two minicons. But now they have started to redo designs, like steeljaw's, that one bears was done more than once, and groundpounder as a smart ape or something.

I've been told by one of the writers not to think of it as a sequel to Prime but rather as a spinoff: Some old characters, some new characters, but a new story and an altered past.Β
And thank you for the compliment! I've been told since day 1 my art has a very "anime" vibe to it, which isn't intentional but totally not a bad thing in my eyes!

Nice artwork! (This huge rant goes out to everyone) Speaking of RID 2015, I get so PISSED about how much supposed TF fans rant and berate RID 2015, mostly Grimlock's design and character personality. Everyone says RID 2015 is terrible, which its NOT, and that the producer of the show is not a Transformers fan. If the producer of the show was not a fn of Transformers, THIS SHOW WOULD NOT HAVE EXISTED IN THE FIRST PLACE! PUT SOME DAMN LOGIC IN YOUR RANTS BEFORE YOU SAY ANYTHING, PEOPLE! And worse, everyone berates Grimlock JUST BECAUSE HE'S GREEN. FYI, ALL YOU GRIMLOCK FANBOYS, GRIMLOCK WAS GREEN IN TRANSFORMERS RID 2001! AND HE DIDN'T EVEN TRANSFORM INTO A DAMN DINOSAUR IN THAT SHOW!! BE GRATEFUL HE TRANSFORMS INTO A DINOSAUR IN THIS ONE! Apparently there are alot of Grimlock genwunners who are complaining about his personality. So WHAT if Grimlock isn't exactly as aggressive and ferocious as his other incarnations? He is still powerful and when he needs to be, he can be one hell of a ferocious fighter! When he fought Scowl in "Similarly Different", towards the end of the final fight scene Grimlock went total Jurassic Park T-Rex on Scowl, which was friggin' AWESOME! I like RID 2015, it is a great show, not as great as Prime, but is is great. STOP COMPLAINING ABOUT THE SHOW AND JUST APPRECIATE IT FOR WHAT IT IS!!Β

I just don't like how most of the decepticons are animals, and now they have started to do repaints in the show. The only humanoid ones seem to be chop shop and fracture, plus a few I forgot. It just bugs me a bit.

Well, technically the beastial Decepticons are supposed to pay homage to the Decepticons in the original RID. But yeah, I agree with you on the repaints. While the season 1 Decepticons in RID 2015 have cool designs, originality, and bring forth new and awesome characters to the Transformers universe, the season 2 "repaints" are ridiculously un-original, poorly thought out, and clearly rip off their counterparts. The only original Decepticons in season 2 (so far) are Glowstrike, Scorponok, Overload, Crazybolt, Saberhorn, Polarclaw, and Razorpaw. The rest of the Decepticons are just cheap repaints. It seems the writers of the show are beginning to get lazy with the Decepticons' designs.

It was kind of weird now that Hasbro is selling a lot of psyclones such as backtrack and ransack, even though crazybolt had a minicon torpedo named slicedice. I am okay with some of the animal ones, such as chop shop, crazybolt, fracture and a couple others (such as scowl, a cool new dinobot, sort of), and I love the mini con idea, but I just find it weird with them being beasts. It just doesn't appeal to me. Yet I think I saw a couple of other cool decepticons, but they were repaints of none other than soundwave as a yellow guy and arachnid as some guy kickback almost hit on.

Bro like seriously. Im totally certain 95% of the TF Fanbase are either whiny Transformers fanboys collectively, or are Grimlock/Dinobot genwunners. They just COMPLAIN AND COMPLAIN AND COMPLAIN, THROWING HUGE B!TCH FITS FOR REALLY STUPID REASONS! Its f*cking unbelievable and tragic how there are so little TF fans who actually appreciate stuff like the Bayformers films and RID 2015 for what they are. Why can't anyone just appreciate a good show and/or movie of Transformers? I feel bad for Michael Bay, really. He gets so much hate from supposedly loyal TF fans, and he doesn't even deserve it.

Oh absolutely. That's what I've been trying to tell everybody, nothing will ever compare to Primeverse, but we need to respect the show in its own right. We need to stop focusing on it being a sequel and start thinking of it as simply another chapter.

At first, all I could think was "ugh this will suck, doesn't look nearly as good as Prime". But now that I have seen more episodes, it's starting to grow on me. I like especially the interactions between the main characters.

Honestly, I hate how people expect RiD 2015 to be like Prime. Like they think since itβs a sequel, it has to be all dark and grim like Prime. RiD 2015 will never be as high as TFP, and thatβs a good thing. I donβt want it to be stuck in the shadows of Prime, it can be itβs own show.
