Description Here we have more robots :3 Angloids. I love how these guys came out. Makes them look exactly like robots Hope you love them too :3

SCAN LOG

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Angloid. A robotic drone based on an anglerfish. The luminescent lure of its template organism was the basis for a debilitating beam weapon that causes cellular rearrangement in its victims. It is obviously effective in aquatic combat, but its engine has a hovering configuration that allows it to move through the air just as easily.
STATS: HP 5/ATK 2/DEF 1
ATTACKS: Bite/Shrink Ray
ANALYSIS: In combat, an Angloid attacks with its reinforced metal jaws or its head-mounted beam weapon. Its weapon forces a temporary reduction in its victim's size, reducing their damage output. A properly-timed guard can negate this effect. Apart from its Shrink Ray, its only advantage is the defense offered by its armored body, but this can be overcome with careful use of powerful attacks.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Angear. An Angloid unit modified for exploration of the Gear Forest. It has slightly more effective defenses than the basic model, as well as a new version of its beam weapon.
STATS: HP 7/ATK 5/DEF 1
ATTACKS: Bite/Softening Ray
ANALYSIS: Contact with its Softening Ray slightly destabilizes molecular cohesion, causing victims to take more damage from enemy attacks. Guarding can dissipate the energy, preventing it from achieving the DEF-lowering effect. If the beam is discounted, the Angear is merely a stronger Angloid. Similar battle tactics apply, but a more aggressive approach is advisable to defeat it before it can lower anyone's DEF.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Angma. An upgraded Angloid designed to function in high-temperature environments. It can move through molten rock without difficulty, enabling it to perform remote surveillance and ambush attacks. In addition to basic updates and an improved beam weapon, scans indicate the presence of an incendiary projectile weapon in its mouth.
STATS: HP 12/ATK 7/DEF 2
ATTACKS: Bite/Target Ray/Fireball
ANALYSIS: Its beam weapon marks its victim with a distinctive energy signature, increasing the likelihood that they will be targeted by enemy attacks. In certain scenarios, this can actually be turned into an advantage; careful thought should be given to future maneuvers if an ally is affected by this attack. They can also fire a blast of fire at any target, causing burns. Guarding can negate the effects of both attacks, but the higher power of the Angma should not be underestimated; defeat it quickly before it can debilitate the party.

SCAN COMPLETE.
CREATURE: Angfinity. An Angloid enhanced by the Infinity Empire's most advanced technology. Designed for stealth, it can blend in with its environment, making itself nearly invisible. However, its camouflage generator requires excess heat to be vented from its body, which can betray its position. Its other weapons and components have been upgraded as well, making it extremely dangerous.
STATS: HP 20/ATK 12/DEF 3
ATTACKS: Bite/Doom Ray/Camouflage/Electric Ball
ANALYSIS: If it activates its camouflage generator, it will become impossible to hit and much harder to defend against. Watch for the distortions caused by its heat ventilation to determine when to guard. Its electrical mouth blaster can immobilize its targets, and its beam weapon inflicts Cancel status, but neither can be used in conjunction with its camouflage generator. Either way, the Angfinity is a lethal opponent; proceed with caution against it.

So anyone with the Bait status will be constantly attacked by enemies, huh? Interesting, but it may end up being helpful instead of hindering (aka someone using a Repel Gel on someone with the Bait Status and the enemies won't be able to damage anyone excet with attacks that hit all enemies).

Wow, these are really cool. They definitely look robotic, and they sound powerful. We should point out that regular anglerfish aren't very violent or aggressive, however.

Heck, even BY Mario standards. The ones in NSMBW just swim straight ahead, not even trying to hit you.

What status effect is "Cancel"? (the one the Doom Ray of the Angfinity causes)

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

TheSpiderManager In reply to JustANoobInDrawing [2011-08-08 20:28:48 +0000 UTC]

Cancel is a status effect where you will not be able to either use your Jump, Hammer, or Special Attacks. When you have cancel, you'll see a large red X on either jump, hammer, and special icon. The effect lasts the entire fight or until you cure it. Trust me, that effect is pretty bad. I mean what if you fight an enemy that you can't jump on and you get Cancel on your Hammer?

Kinda what Bowser does when he ground pounds you in TTYD? (I have no idea if you get it, but just in case, he ground pounds you and you lose one of your abilities).

That seems really bad. I had a lot of pain when that happened to me in TTYD,m so I kinda know the effect. >_< Your custon games seem REALLY hard...

TheSpiderManager In reply to JustANoobInDrawing [2011-08-13 17:42:07 +0000 UTC]

Oh it is, but to lower the difficulty, you have 3 people on your team, and the stats are higher. so yeah :3

JustANoobInDrawing In reply to TheSpiderManager [2011-08-17 22:06:38 +0000 UTC]

So you have two partners in battle instead of one? Nintendo should have TOTALLY done that! and also I love the higher stats, the ones on the Paper Marios make everything so harder... :/
