Connections:
Basically they’re both blonde haired, cocky and smartass yet loyal and heroic, fire-fisted brawlers with a close sibling-like bond with the main protagonist of their series (Ruby and Ryu). They are also close with a more silent and serious warrior in contrast to their fun and upbeat personality (Blake and Ryu). They also, due to differing circumstances, had absent mothers in their childhood (Yang’s mom abandoned her whilst Ken’s died when he was young). (This one might be a stretch but whatever) Both have a bit of dragon motif going on (Yang’s name meaning dragon and the move Ken is most known for, the Shoryuken, meaning “Rising Dragon Fist”)

Not my preferred for either but a brilliant alt and probably the most underrated Yang matchup ever. The animation, banter, dialogue and soundtrack potential are just sex tier. Also RWBY’s Yang is basically a Rule 63 version of Street Fighter’s Ken
