Description
I just had an idea of a sheep named Belle and a sheepdog named Maximus falling in love and the theme is royalty x peasantry
The farm is sort of like a kingdom (according to the animals) the farmer is the king, the farmer's wife is the queen, Maximus is the prince, the horses and cows are lords and ladies and the pigs, chickens, goats and sheep are peasants

Belle met Maximus when she was first put in the farm and when their eyes locked, it was love at first sight
The other sheep mocked Belle for falling for a royal but Belle ignored them and often bumped into Max a lot

Maximus is a courageous charming young sheep dog who can sometimes be a bit of a goof
Belle is an elegant young ewe who tries her best to be a little lady

Very much later in the story Scrabbles the farm cat, the royal advisor, tells Max about him being engaged to a female dog to produce heirs

Naturally this upsets Belle as she runs away in the woods in heartbreak

As Belle walks through the woods she's encountered by a pack of wolves
The wolves in this story are described to be pillagers as they attack the farm and rob any living creature for food leaving nothing behind

The leader of the pack, Alpha, is attracted to Belle and talks to her in an almost sexual way, disturbing Belle
Max does go to save Belle as he fights the wolves in a bloody battle of life and death

Alpha and his pack do retreat in defeat as Maximus falls over and there's a moment where Belle thinks Max is dead and cries over him, suddenly Max's eyes open, he's okay
They go back to the farm and the king decides to call off the engagement

Belle and Maximus look at each over and put their heads together to resemble a kiss and the story ends there
