Sev is such a badass character. He competes with Garrus Vakarian as my favourite sniper.

He's classified as MIA to the Republic (soon the Galactic Empire), so I also believe he's not dead.They also replace him with another person, but Scorch despises him as a temporary member.

So I've heard.
I do hope they resolve this issue in the future, but seeing as Disney has disregarded all previous non-movie material as canon, I doubt it ever will.
