First things first, sorry to everyone for not being able to reply to a lot of stuff, the last two weeks have been incredibly busy wrapping up the school year, we had problems with the Wi-Fi and last weekend I went to Disneyworld! I only really quickly submitted Mantyke the morning before we left during a small five-minute period when the Wi-Fi would occasionally work and "Tastes like Rainbows" was for an end of the year portfolio for one of my art classes that I managed to submit really quick. But It's all smooth sailing from here so yay!

Well now on to the artwork at hand. This was done for Leilani Joy's "Why I Paint" Contest. I've been a fan of her YouTube channel for a long time, so I really wanted to submit something to the contest, but I only found enough time this week to complete it. This was also practice for that comic I've been considering making for drawing backgrounds and also experimenting with different mediums. This was me using gouache for the first time, and I really like it. I use watercolors sparingly, and I only used gouache to create highlights for watercolor but I found a bunch of videos on YouTube that inspired me to give it a try. Here's the results:

Pokémon Trainer Rapunzel vs. Waitress Cinderella. With Tiana and Flynn watching on the side. Rapunzel's always wanted to leave her home to become a Pokémon trainer with her best friend, a kecleon named Pascal. One day she runs into just the person who can help her live that dream and it's all history from there. So here I imagine that in this alternate world where Disney and Pokémon coexist, when Flynn and Rapunzel reach the snuggly Duckling, they run into two waitresses named Tiana and Cinderella, leading to Rapunzel's first battle with Cinderella's Pikachu Jaq. Rapunzel's all like "Pascal!" when he takes his first hit and Flynn's all like "Relax, Blondie, he'll live." Cinderella was supposed to be looking from the side, but instead she just looks like she's staring at the shiny Magikarp behind Tiana. Or like she's saying "Tiana, give me that pokeball!" and Tiana's all like "No."

P.S., one of my older artworks makes a cameo in this painting, it's pretty obvious, but leave your guess for what it is if you know what it is.
