Ok, so I bought this cos I thought it was pretty, and then in one of my strange Whovian moods I looked closely and thought "hey, this design kinda looks like a Gallifreyan letter/symbol" (like the Dcotor's writing/Rassilon's seal).I have now decided it was a gift from the Ninth Doctor to Rose, as a thank you.
A little piece of home, given in gratitude to the person who anchors him when home is gone.
Ok, i'm gonna make a fic contest of this. Write this scene, make it as serious or as slushy as you like, and comment here with a link to it. The winner will be decided at the end of the month. For more info, go to my journal.

Just in case anyone is interested...that is a spiral triskele symbol.
The fact you thought of Gallifrey when you saw it is somewhat ironic as some feel the symbol suggests reincarnation/regeneration because it is drawn in one continuous line, suggesting a continuous movement of the universe within eternity.
Rather fitting wouldn't you say?
