Suddenly everything turned bright. Was this a part of the illusion I was put into? I did not know. The smell of the charred house was replaced with the sweet scent of flowers, the sky was bright and partly clouded instead of covered in darkness and the touch of wind was soothing instead of thousand needles searing through my clothed body. I was under an illusion, there was no doubt. Luckily I knew how to get out of it. I drew my blade from the belt and stabbed myself in the leg. The pain was real and I screamed as loud as I could, trying to focus on the pain. Everything became foggy and I was back to reality. I saw the man in the casual villager-outfit, he who's only distinctive physically mark was his bigger forehead. He looked at me with a sinister grin, and I answered with a similar. He had come to MY house, burnt it down, killed MY wife as well as MY two daughters, and EVEN torched the few pieces of workable soil. What he did not know was that I also possessed similar mind-tricking abilities. It was now payback-time... now, it was HIS turn to suffer...
