"With Vastii glitching in and out of existence, Kyro had no trouble getting in the fatal blow. With a mighty swing of his sword, the pyrokineticist sank his blade into Vastii's chest, right where his heart was located. The Russian man's red eyes widened, the glow slowly dying down and revealing his catlike pupils. They had dilated.
Kyro quickly backed away, yanking his sword from Vastii's now blood soaked chest. The pyrokineticist dropped his sword, a hand coming up to hold his injured shoulder. He watched as Vastii slowly stopped glitching, mouth agape. Blood trickled down his chin. The Russian man locked eyes with Kyro before the light faded from them, and he fell to his knees. A second later, he fell to his side, motionless. Kyro stared, eyes wide as the glow died down in his own golden eyes. The battle around them stopped, and Vastii's followers let out shrieks of fear and anger.
"Vastii's dead!"
"Kill the pyrokinetic!"
Kyro turned in a circle, watching as the enemy broke away from his allies, advancing in on him. Fear gripped his heart as they drew nearer. Then, a wave of his allies leapt forward and formed a protective wall around him, swinging their weapons and screaming at Vastii's followers. A second later, everything was silent once more. Kyro stared at the sky for a moment, watching the clouds slowly stop circulating. Then, he spoke.
"Your leader is dead. So is ours. There is no need to fight anymore," he said, loud and clear. He was surprised that his voice didn't waver or crack. He stared as Vastii's followers began to back off, staring at him with hatred in their eyes. Kyro's eyes suddenly started to glow and fire sprang up around him, making him look sinister.
"LEAVE."
The enemy all shrieked and made surprised exclaims, turning tail and running before they managed to anger Kyro more. After Vastii's followers made it into the treeline and disappeared, Kyro's allies all turned to stare at him, waiting for him to speak again. The crowd parted as a few people carried the body of Aliza to him. Following them was Mitchell, carrying an unconscious Danny. Behind him, a few kids were carrying the lifeless bodies of Leo and Wayne. The three dead abnormals were placed in front of Kyro, including a few other lifeless bodies of unnamed teenagers and adults. Kyro stared at them sadly, tears welling up in his eyes. He closed them, willing himself not to cry.
"This battle is over," he said, voice cracking at the last word. He opened his eyes to stare at Mitchell and Danny, the two locking eyes. Mitchell nodded subtly. "We've won, but not without many causalities." He looked down at Aliza's bloodied face, eyebrows knitting together. "Aliza's dead. So are many of our other friends. Family, even." He looked at Leo and Wayne, eyes filling with tears once again. He closed them as tears slipped down his cheeks, leaving tracks on his dirt-ridden face. He looked up at his allies, picking up his sword and holding it out. "But we won't let this stop us. We'll fight until every last one of Vastii's followers are wiped from the face of this earth."
A girl stepped forward, her electric blue hair billowing in the wind. Mikayluh. She had a smile on her face, Violet right next to her. The hydrokineticist raised her own weapon, looking at Kyro proudly.
"To Kyro!" she shouted. "For finally ending this war!" Every abnormal raised their weapons, faces either stone cold or bright with energy.
"To Kyro!" they all shouted. The whole scene sent chills down Kyro's spine. He stepped forward, stabbing his sword into the dirt between Leo and Wayne. He stared at everyone before throwing his head back, letting out a war cry, fire exploding from his mouth and billowing into the sky. Everyone followed suit, letting their emotions out in one big battle cry."

i forgot the whole everyone being bloody thing but oh well
