Description
It was recently discovered that a lot of Pokemon in Gold/Silver either went through some fairly heavy redesigns or were left out altogether. I've seen some of the sprites and decided to try and draw some of them.

So apparently, this is an entire evolutionary line that was lost.
Sunmola is apparently loosely based on a piranha(?) and is pure Water. The 1 just indicates that it's the first member of the evolutionary chain.
Anchorage would have been the game's first Water/Steel type. It's obviously a shark with an anchor for a body. I know we eventually got Sharpedo and Dhelmise, but that's not the same thing.
I thought it was weird that a shark would become a gulper eel, but then I remember that apparently, a fish becomes an octopus and a clam becomes one of two eels. So whatever.
I actually like Grotess' design, it's certainly derpy but not grotesque like the name seems to insinuate. It looks downright friendly. Though we don't know, it could probably take your arm off or something. This was also Water/Steel apparently.
