Learned to decrease the value of a colour by adding its complement.

Alizarin crimson approximated by mixing permanent madder deep and permanent madder light (swatches from Rembrandt oils)--not an exact match, but as close as I can get it: H236/S119/L103, R163/G55/B65.

ArtRage (Palette Knife, Paint Tube, Ink Pen), Intuos 5 with art pen.

Great resources. You have inspired me to use ArtRage and to practice from the same DVD series. Great stuff. By the way, could you tell me if you had real color blending activated for this excercise?
