Description Eastern Asia

50 million years into the future...

It's a warm morning over the Jiangxi province in eastern China. Now the place is covered with dense forest stretching from mainland Indonesia to the eastern coast of China. However this place, and by extension rest of the planet, is changing. The end of the Cenozoic Ice Age brought numerous changes to the natural environment. A world once dominated by wide stretches of grasslands, savannas and tundras is now taken over by forests of all different kind. This comes with detriment to mand descendants of cattle, camels, equids and kangaroos. Even many carnivores like hyenas are strugling. At this same time, hovever, many desendants of browsing animals like cervids are spreading. Luckly, not all survivors of ice age are destined to go extinct. With pressure comes adaptations after all. With time those adaptations can forge new interspecies relationships.

====================
A female Forest Tembalo travels through shallow samp in order to cool herself and get rid of of biting insects like flies or mosquitoes. However not all parasites are this easy to persuade away. Some, like ticks bore themselves deep into the skin, making it impossible for her to remove them.

And that's when help comes right up to her on the feathered wings.

A small sized bird, around 11 inch / ~28 centimeters long with the tail feathers, lands on her side. It's male Red-tipped Fleafisher, with starts pecking on skin, soon finding large, gorged tick. Thanks to this mutual action, Tembaloo receives relief from parasites, and Fleafisher gets a filling meal.
