Description One thing I love about Disney is the many musicals they've put in their films, whether they're sung by the main heroes, the villains or even just a musical being played in the background.  And this is what this list is all about.  Join me as we go over what I consider my top 10 favourite Disney songs.  As usual, these are my personal opinions, and if yours didn't make it, don't go attacking me over it.

But first, here are some honourable mentions:
The Circle of Life
Go the Distance
A Friend Like Me
Into the Unknown
The Bare Necessities

And now, onto the real list.  Let's go!

10: Hellfire - This is without a doubt one of the most badass-sounding villain songs in any Disney movie, and it shows why Judge Claude Frollo is one of my favourite Disney villains.  It shows how lustful he's become over Esmerelda and is willing to make her be his or burn her to a stake, and this is meant to be in a kid's movie as well!  But then again, some kids shows/films in the past did have some dark themes, proving that even kid's entertainment can be rather mature, probably more mature than entertainment meant for adults.

9: The Wonderful Thing About Tiggers - I love Tigger; he's my favourite character from the Winnie the Pooh franchise, so it's no surprise that I would love this song so much.  Whenever I think of Tigger, this song sometimes sneaks its way in my brain, and for a good reason; it's just so catchy!  Definitely a good song to cheer anyone up.

8: The First Sign of Spring - Another reason why I think Bambi 2 is better than the first film is the musical numbers, and this song is one of them.  It shows us how much closer Bambi and his father are bonding and how much Bambi is learning to "feel the forest", which he uses to his advantage in the climax of the film, and it was quite nice seeing the Great Prince drop his usual stern personality and learn to have fun with his son, definitely one of the best father-son bonding I've ever seen.

7: For the First Time in Forever - It's sung by Anna, my most favourite Disney Princess of all time, so there's really no surprise that it would make the list.  It shows how Anna is looking forward to seeing the gates of her kingdom open for the first time in years, meeting lots of different people and even meeting her true love.  It's really enjoyable seeing Anna singing about this, and I can even imagine people doing this once lockdown is finally over.

6: A Whole New World - Considering that the Genie is my favourite character from Aladdin, you might think "A Friend Like Me" would take this spot.  Sorry, but no; this song is just way too romantic to be ignored.  I just love seeing Aladdin taking Jasmine on a Magic Carpet ride all over the world, which is something Jasmine really wanted to do, and not just be stuck in a palace all her life.  Definitely one of the best love songs I've ever heard which is why this song makes this list.

5: You've Got a Friend in Me - Yep, I'm even going as far as to add Pixar songs in the list (even though this is the only Pixar song on this list).  It's such an iconic song and it's been heard in all four Toy Story films (even a Spanish take during the end credits of Toy Story 3), and everyone loves the Toy Story franchise.  Whenever everyone thinks of Toy Story, they will always think of this song, no matter what.

4: Hakuna Matata - I love Timon and Pumbaa, they make one of the funniest duos I've ever seen on TV, so it's no surprise I love this song.  Seeing these two characters take in Simba and teach him the meaning (and the audience) of those two words really catches my attention, and it's really catchy as well.  Some people may find it annoying, but I don't care; this song is really good, and I will always remember it.  No worries!

3: Be Prepared - The best song in the Lion King and the best villain song I've ever heard in not just Disney, but out of any franchise I've ever heard!  Scar was really intimidating here, explaining to the hyenas on how he planned to kill off both Mufasa and Simba and become king of Pride Rock, while "promising" the hyenas they'll have good protection.  Definitely a badass villain song for quite a badass villain.

2: There Is Life - Words cannot describe how much this song brings tears to my eyes, especially since it happens not long after Bambi lost his mother to hunters.  It is such a beautiful opening song which shows how every creature in the forest is adapting in the winter, such as a mother flying squirrel getting her young to fly, as it shows us, the audience, that Bambi 2 will be an emotional and beautiful film.  It was so good, I could have easily made it my number one, if there wasn't one Disney song I liked better.

1: Let It Go - I know, I know, blast for me; most people find this song overrated and even hate it.  But if you ask me, this song is "overrated" for a reason; it's really beautiful.  I think it's pretty cool seeing Elsa creating her ice palace, creating Olaf and even changing into her iconic outfit, showing that after being isolated due to hiding her powers, she can finally be free to let it all out without worrying about hurting anyone.  Such an iconic song, which is why it's my number one favourite song ever created by Disney.

And there you have it, my top 10 favourite Disney songs.  Feel free to let me know what your favourite Disney songs are in the comments below and until next time, hurue!

The Hunchback of Notre Dame, Winnie the Pooh, Bambi, Frozen, Aladdin, Toy Story and the Lion King are owned by Disney, whilst Toy Story is also owned by Pixar.

Nice choices.

May I ask you, have you seen the stage adaptation of The Hunchback Of Notre Dame on YouTube? If you haven’t, I do recommend watching it.
