Description
Have you ever liked a certain character from a franchise that a lot of people seem to despise? I know I sure have, and it's time look at the 10 characters I like that everyone seems to hate. Please note that these are my personal opinions, so please don't hate me for liking a character you don't like; we're all humans after all. As usual, we're doing one character per franchise.

And now, onto the actual list:

10: Troy Burrows from Power Rangers: Megaforce - Yeah, yeah, I know a lot of people dislike the Megaforce season as a whole, but I... quite like it, for reasons I cannot explain. I would have put in the whole team, but I decided to go with just the Red Ranger, Troy, who has the worst of it. At least the other Rangers are well liked, but for Troy, some people go as far as to say he's the worst ranger ever. Do I think he's the worst ranger? No, of course not. But he's far from my favourite, mainly because there are loads of others I like more. However, I still like Troy for his determination and how he knows if every human works together, they can do anything, and considering the global crisis, it's actually a lot truer now than it was back then.

9: Tow Mater from Cars - Out of all the characters that the Cars franchise brought out, none of them stand out to me more than Mater. Some people find him annoying for his crazy personality, but I quite liked it, and I always found Mater really funny. I also loved how he was the main character in Cars 2 and not a lot of people liked that film, even calling it Pixar's worst, but I still enjoyed it for what it was. Mater will always have a special place in my heart, which is my he's my favourite Cars character, past, present and hopefully, future.

8: Mr. Stubborn from the Mr. Men Show - While some may find his stubborn attitude annoying, I actually find Mr. Stubborn rather entertaining. Whenever he got into an argument or a disagreement about something, I always found myself laughing, and the way he calls everything "cheap" was extremely amusing. And when he shares scenes with Mr. Grumpy, my favourite character from the show BTW, we have some of the funniest comedy sketches in the show. While the show was cancelled after only two seasons, which I'm still pissed off about, I'll always have fond memories of Mr. Stubborn, no matter what anyone thinks of the character.

7: Serena from Pokémon - When Serena was introduced in the X and Y anime, there were already some split opinions on the character. Some people like myself loved her for her personality and her cute crush on Ash. But there were also people who outright hated her, saying that she's "useless", doesn't battle much and that Ash should be with THEIR favourite female protagonist, which is 85% of the time, Misty. Say what you will, but if you ask me, Serena does more than what fans give her credit for, and I feel she has better chemistry with Ash than any other female protagonist has ever done. But if you still think Ash should end up with characters like Misty, May, Dawn etc, that's fine, but please don't use it as an excuse to hate on Serena!

6: Amy Rose from Sonic - Just like Serena above, Amy Rose is also hated for her crush on the main protagonist, except her hate is quite worse. Some people find her annoying because of this, and while Amy can get a little over-the-top when it comes to Sonic, I don't exactly hate her for it. If you ask me, I quite support SonAmy a lot. Plus, she's also a badass when she needs to be, especially whenever she wields that giant hammer of hers, which I find pretty cool, and I love her sisterly bond with Cream. Amy will always remain one of my favourite Sonic characters, even in the future.

5: Nia from Thomas and Friends - While some people hate the direction the Thomas and Friends series is heading because of the "unrealism",  I... honestly don't mind it that much. But I cannot stand the undeserved hate towards Nia. The main reason she's hated, is because she "replaced Edward". I get it, Edward's an iconic character, but that's not a good reason to hate someone. Rebecca is hated for the same reason too, but I think Nia has gotten it worse. While I do think she should sleep at Ffarquarr Sheds with Thomas, Percy and Rosie, I still like Nia for her hard-working, clever and friendly personality, but some idiots tend to overlook that and hate her mere existence, especially that whiny bitch, Nichole Williams (no offence to those that like her, but I can't stand her sometimes). However, that will never take away my love for this character.

4: Starlight Glimmer from My Little Pony: Friendship Is Magic - This show has a lot of characters I like that everyone else seems to hate. Hell, even my favourite character from the show isn't safe from being hated. But if you ask me, no other character has had so much undeserved hate more than Starlight Glimmer. When she reformed and became a part of the Mane Cast in the Season 5 finale, everyone was like "UGH, she was reformed too easily, she doesn't deserve a second chance, I hate her!" and wanted her out of the show. Now that's just absolutely cruel! Yeah, Starlight has made mistakes but at least she's willing to make amends and I've grown to love her throughout Season 6, which I find extremely underrated. And then there's the Season 6 finale, which a lot of people hated because of how the Mane Cast got caught just for Starlight to "steal the show", but I honestly found that finale rather entertaining because of Starlight. No matter what anyone else says, Starlight Glimmer will always remain one of my favourite ponies.

3: Buttercup from the Powerpuff Girls - Out of our three main heroes from the Powerpuff Girls, I believe Buttercup gets the most flak. I mean, yeah, she can act like a jerk sometimes, and yeah... SHE SMASHED BUBBLES' CHALK!   But she does have moments where she can be a good person, and she does care for her sisters and her father. While I still say Bubbles is my favourite out of the Powerpuff Girls, I still love Buttercup just as much. In fact, there are times where I can be grumpy like her, especially in my adult years, so I can relate to her sometimes. I'd say Buttercup deserves more love than what she gets.

2: Rey Skywalker from Star Wars - I swear to God, the Star Wars fandom is getting worse all the time!   Most of the characters from the Sequel Trilogy get a lot of flak, but Rey, oh, she's gotten the worst of it. Ever since "the Force Awakens", everyone's been hating her for being a "female Luke Skywalker" and a "Mary Sue", which she clearly is not.   I actually loved Rey in "the Force Awakens", I even loved her in "the Last Jedi" (as flawed as the movie was) and I definitely loved her in "the Rise of Skywalker", and I say Daisy Ridley did an amazing performance portraying her. And then there's the last scene, where she took the Skywalker name, and everyone got pissed, but I honestly didn't mind that last scene, and I quite liked it. It's because of these things that I almost considered putting her at number one, except there is actually one other character I feel has a lot more undeserved hate. Who is it? Let's have a look...

1: Meg Griffin from Family Guy - This list wouldn't be complete without this character. It appears everyone, even the creators of Family Guy, hate Meg so much, that they constantly make "let's get Meg" jokes constantly throughout the show, which I find absolutely cruel. She's even hated by her own family; Peter abuses her both physically and mentally at every chance he gets, and even Lois told her to kill herself at one point (and even stole a boyfriend of hers at one point). There was one time where Meg actually DOES stand up to her family, only to back down because it "keeps the family together", which I find really stupid. If I was her, I would run away from the Griffin family and never return. Meg doesn't deserve to be in a show like Family Guy, which seriously needs to end, and I consider her easily the number one character I like that everyone else hates.
