ForYou know.. I've always been kinda lukewarm on gen 4 overall. There's always that feeling of boredom(?) after the game ends, of course, but I felt that it was especially pronounced with this gen. Nothing really.. grabbed me, post-game (though I was playing this right after emerald which gave me, you know, the battle frontier. That was fun). Not to say it's a bad game, just kinda 'ok.'
And then there's the fact that my game got stolen which always gives me bad vibes when I think about it
But man, did it have the best legendaries.
I don't think there's one I dislike! Out of all the gens, the main 'cover' trio (in this case palkia, dialga, giratina) was the best, I think; I like all 3 of them, somehow lol. And then you got the lake trio, spiritomb, heatran, ARCEUS, manaphy + phione, cresselia, DARK-FUCKING-RAI, and I think shaymin as well(?). Shit's a great lineup. B)
...so long story short, glad I got a legendary :b

Gen 4 was my first gen, so I do like it a lot more than most folks, mainly out of nostalgia. But I can wholeheartedly admit it's one of the slower games in terms of plot and post-game content...but I agree that the legendaries were incredible additions to the series! A lot of them are my personal favorites!

Yeah, it's just so laid back.. a little too laid back if you ask me :') Even the music is relaxing. (I'm supposed to be pumped up for an adventure, not lulled to sleep dammit! :b)
But yeah same, a lot of my favs came from this gen; giratina, palkia, etc. And then gen 5 came and I loooved zekrom.. lukewarm on the rest. (the forces of nature and swords of justice are just so.. meh) Funny how that goes. X)

I personally liked the soundtrack; pretty beautiful! Although Cynthia's pre-battle piano is pretty heartracing...[if not giving me war flashbacks when I got to Gen 5 in her villa like "NOOOO I'M NOT READY"]
I personally loved Gen 5's mons too, actually! Reshiram was my favorite and I like the swords of justice! X'D But opinions are opinions, X'D

Oh don't get me wrong; that was a compliment. :') The soundtrack is one of my favs of the series. I was just noting that even the music conveys how laid back the game is.
And yeah cynthia's theme is one of the best e4 songs, imo!
Idk I think I liked the idea behind the swords of justice better than the execution; I keep looking at cobalion and its... mustache/whisker thing and can't see that as cool, I'm sorry LOL x) Virizion is ok though.
