I avoid doing what people say I cannot do, or when they insult me saying I do this/that thing poorly, because nothing is more annoying than someone insulting your intelligence with reverse psychology.

Actually, it seems this quote mentions nothing about ethics or morality of actions. It merely says doing the things people tell you not to feel really good.
So killing others is not excluded as "a great pleasure". If killing give you pleasure and people say you can't do it this quote still applies.
