Lyyreth is from Scales and Honor, my adult heroic fantasy series. The first chapter of the story can be found here. Scales and Honor Chapter 1 :Dread Flame 1/2
Our story begins in the kingdom of Lumara, a rather large nation located on the continent of Sethera. Lumara was well known for its cold winters, said to chill a person to the very bone, even while hugging their fire for warmth. It also bore some of the wettest summers where rain soaked the countryside for months. Some outsiders that lived in such climate spoke of Lumara as the worst place for anyone to live. However, in spite of the ill rumors, Lumara was not without its bounty. Several races inhabited these lands, and even though the majority of them were human the others were not treated any lesser.
To the other kingdoms of Man, Elf, and Dwarf Lumara appeared a violent nation, never satisfied with its borders. Many years ago, the forefathers of present day Lumara found ruins that contained knowledge of mana crystals, and -most important of them all- their creation. These crystals had been used eons ago by the Dragons -one of the oldest races of the world- to fu

Speaking of dragons, are they susceptive to stockholme syndrome ? Velendar and Arcturus Cordenth and Lyndis...
Feels like all that you need to do to befriend a dragon is to Seal club him and tie him up, then have a talk.

Its a tad more complicated than that. But the people doing the chatting were quite understanding people. On the hand of cordenth, he did attack the group first. And to be fair, Veledar kidnapped Arcturus.

Kidnapped ? you mean rescued from punishment for seting him free and saving the red dragon's life ?
Point being Velendar did began to develop relationship with Arcturus while he was tied up.

Cordenth was tied up for 5 minutes? And it was more for their own safety as they didn't know what they were dealing with.
Arcturus and veledar really started bonding on the fairly realm.

That is a matter of debate considering that the two Vel and Arc were writen for eachother.
Still will any of the next chapters include Cordy-chan ?
Personal question: i think you have exelent skills in writing interspecies friendship (even romance)
that feels alive, do you have drawn it from real life ?

Well as the person who wrote them. They started bonding during that time. Up until that point Veledar might have sympathized but was trying to get out.
Cordy has not been in book 4 so far. Was debating if i should continue posting actually. As people often don't leave comments. Which combined with low view count, leaves me depressed.
So I will continue to write and post elsewhere. (Where people comment)
I do not have experience romancing male dragons. XD
=although I have played video games where romance has been featured, or other media. I just write what I would like to see have happened. (Also letting the boys and girls guide me into things)- I was going to hold off their romance for till end of book 3. But they surprised me...

Yes you shoud keep posting, question is why do you write,
it's a huge story already, and rather incredible at that (altrough i love dragons that are well writen),
do you write for youself venting out, or for the people's approval ?
Perhaps you shoud consider to look for more fertile land for writen stories.

I would always keep writing as it keeps me happy about where it's going. Its just that I also started posting for readers enjoyment of the story. Its the lack of comments and things that drive me away from posting it, as it feels like all this work to see like maybe some number? Like im screaming in the dark. At least with some comments I can engage with people and chat. You know? Otherwise the story could just sit on the notebooks I write it in, and save myself the trouble.
The story is bigger. And I have a goal set in mind....The current book I am writing itsnt even the last one within the world. XD

Then change the tags you use i would recomend: Dragons Dragon_Rider Dragon-Rider Dragon_Riders Dragon-Riders, Bound, Captured, Fight, Wings, Scales, Romance, Love, Friendship, Friend, Scalie, Saddle, Rider, Riders, Velendar, Arcturus.
Those are more uncommon and will give you chance to stand out.
Also i've braven myself from two years now to write book. i've managed finaly to separate my plots and it turns out i've had 14 plots. it took me a month to define them and i have finaly began to write it up over 60 sheets A4 pages.
