Description I'm considering doing some work in a more comic-book-ish style. One option I've found is an addon for Gimp (among other platforms) called G'MIC ( gmic.eu/ ). Using some of the filters in there plus some manual touch-ups, I turned the image on the left into the one on the right.

So: what's your opinion? Does this style look good? Do you have constructive criticism? Is it a terrible idea and I should go back to what I usually do? Can you suggest a much better method I should obviously use?

To be clear, there was no AI use of any kind in this image. It's just more layers of computer work on top of what I normally do. I'm avoiding AI tools for the foreseeable future. The copyright and ethical issues are not something I want to get involved in.

I'm certain I could make some headway by simplifying the colors/textures applied to objects within the 3d rendering environment. I haven't tried that yet, but if I pursue the idea further I certainly will. The complex woven texture on the hat, for instance, is not helpful in this instance. There would be a learning curve, I'm sure. I don't know quite what to do about the lack of detail on her nose. My attempts at hand-edits were not great.
