As the sun sinks below the horizon, Honey the Cat smiles to herself, and relaxes beneath a particular palm tree...

Here it is - my first bit of fanart EVER! It's actually my entry for the competition being run over at the Honey the Cat club... when I heard what the theme was, I immediately thought of this, but because I was neither an artist nor a deviant I didn't even try to enter, and instead just waited to see if anyone else would have the same idea. Anyway, the deadline for the competition came, and went, and it seemed that no one else had thought of it - and so I felt a bit foolish for not having tried to enter myself. And then it turned out that poor old Trakker's computer had erupted into a ball of flames, causing him to delay the deadline for the competition... and giving me a second chance!

So I set to work, and I must admit I'm delighted at how well it has turned out! As I say, I'm not really an artist, and it took me virtually an entire day to finish this, in the end tweaking it at pixel level to get it looking just right. However, I'm proud of it now! Especially since I've been a fan of Honey for many, many years... and with this picture, I actually feel like I've done her justice.

And even if I don't win, at least now I'm on deviantART I can ask to join the Honey the Cat Club! [link] And that'll make it all worthwhile all by itself.

Honey is copyrighted to Sega, but they won't sue because they know she wouldn't like it if they did.
