Is that the left back paw bent back at an odd angle poking out from under the tail? I think this mouse has already been abused by the cat its just that the cat isn't hungry and is simply playing with it. Make no mistake this picture simply shows a predator and prey not friends. If I liked mice I would feel sad but since I cant stand mice all I have to say is, "Good Kitty."

my cats are pathetic, so they go and kill the mouse, but they don't know what to do with it, so they hide it under the couch until it smells, or give it to the humans

That's really cool! Kind of reminds me of my aunts cat and her little bird, the bird sat on the cat as if she were it's personal horse...it was hilarious. Such a sweet picture, you can almost see the love in the cat's face.
