Mk and Jecra were incredibly close friends from almost the start, they had fought and lived alongside each other for such a long time that when Jecra “died” Meta Knight struggled with a lot of aspects of his life. Particularly in battle and not turning to someone for backup who was no longer there.
Garlude joined their little duo a little while after Jecra and Meta Knight formed a strong friendship. She was stable, strong, and a constant source of (generally) good decisions and wisdom. Though she could easily turn into a hell of a spitfire. She was also the first to die.
Meta Knight often wondered over the years, that if Garlude had been alive the night they had been ambushed and Jecra taken, then Jecra and some of the rest of that battalion may have lived.
In a softer note, I HC Meta to be a very good, but very stage shy, singer.
