This is really awesome. I've always had a love for black and white art. My first experience with photography was old B&W 35MM stuff, developing it myself in a darkroom.

I look at this picture and miss the smell of fixer and feel sixteen again. XD

The person who commented on the scan is actually right. The saturation adds to it. I like that the person is standing, looking outward from the desolation -- although I get a slightly different feeling from it. Art resounds differently in everyone.. and the feeling I get is of the person having turned his back on the desolation and the rubble and looking out at presumably more, thinking 'And now where are we? What have we done?'

I don't know.

Either way, good job!

It's so haunting, it had me immediately.
The contrast is perfect, with the light washing out some of the detail.
Absolutely love it.

I've got a ton of prints that I'd love to scan in as well and understand sometimes quality just sucks. But perfect or not, the atmosphere and tone are still present. I could write a story based on this one image...

I like the graininess, myself. I think it accentuates the dark/dinginess of the inside, and makes a nice contrast with the light
