“Hiyah!” I yelled, and swung the blade of my ax into the nearest Decepticon body.

The metal crumpled under my powerful blow, and I pried the weapon from the now lifeless body, searching for my next target.

Through the clashing mess of bodies, I spotted Optimus wielding his sword and shield expertly, cutting down all who oppose him with ease.

I would’ve been content just to watch him fight, if it weren’t for the spray of bullets that hit my shiny __a/c__ plates.

I narrowed my eyes, and searched for my attacker. ‘There.’ A large black Decepticon with beady red eyes and sharp features snarled at me, and I growled back.

We raced towards each other, each readying our weapons. When I reached my opponent, I faked a swing of my ax.

He took the bait and began to block. I smirked, throwing a punch straight at his chest, piercing it, and crushing the spark, spraying energon all over myself in doing so. My enemy dropped to the ground, the light fading from his eyes.

I smiled in triumph, and gazed around, seeking out another target with bright eyes.

-Optimus POV-
As I ran my sword through the Decepticon before me, I glanced around, optics searching for the powerful warrior I so adored.

I was filled with relief as I found her unharmed, dripping with energon, chest rising and falling heavily. I felt myself heat up, and my spark missed a beat as the liquid dripped down her beautiful form.

God I loved her.

I was jostled from my perverse thoughts as a blow struck my armor. ‘Focus Optimus.’

-Your POV-
As I struck down yet another enemy, I noticed that the ranks were thinning. We had almost won. At times, I found myself fighting alongside another of my companions.

For a while, it was Drift, then, as soon as he had appeared, he vanished, replaced with Crosshairs, followed by Bumblebee. Hound made an entrance too, before it was just me again.

Seeing that I was a high threat target, most of the Decepticons converged on me. Even though I was a good fighter, I was quickly being overwhelmed.

I felt my energy dissipate slowly, and my arms grew more tired with every swing of the ax.

Suddenly, a flash of blue and red crossed my vision, and Optimus charged in, cutting down those in his path, until he was by my side, blocking enemy fire with his shield.

His appearance gave me a burst of energy, and the deadly dance ensued. We were the perfect team. He would block, and I would strike around him. He would charge to one side, I would take the other. I would jump, using his shield to propel myself forward to deliver a killing blow, and he would use the backward moment I gave him to crush another enemy.

Every now and then, I would sneak glances at him, watch his powerful form take down Decepticons, his broad shoulders twisting with each stroke of his sword.

What I didn’t know, was that he had been doing the same to me. With every opportunity he got, he stared at my figure, watching as I dove gracefully between enemies, his face plates growing heated.

As we combined our efforts, our opponents were quickly vanquished, leaving us panting in a pile of scrap metal.

I gulped air, desperate to regain my breath, my companions doing the same. “Well that was fun.” I commented, Crosshairs snorting in amusement.

I felt a hand grip mine. “You’re not injured are you?” Optimus’s voice sent shivers down my spine, and I shook my head, smiling slightly, “No, this energon isn’t mine.” I gestured to the thin layer of life-giving liquid that covered my __a/c__ armor in a slight sheen.

His expression was one of relief, and he hooked one arm around my waist, “That’s good.” The close proximity made my face plates grow warm, my body heating up at his touch.

I snuggled into his chest, the fatigue finally catching up with me as I buried my helm into his neck. He hummed in satisfaction, the battle forgotten.

-Optimus POV-
My whole body was lit up in fire as her delicate form pressed against mine, her face in my neck.

I noticed how tired she looked, and my spark fluttered at her unparalleled beauty. I would have been content to just stay like this forever, had it not been for Crosshairs, who made a gagging sound, “Get a room you two!” I glared in his direction, and felt ____ stir against me.

“Is Crosshairs being an asshole again?” she said sleepily, her words slightly jumbled. My spark jumped again, ‘She is so adorable.’ I simply nodded, making an agreeing noise in my throat.

She frowned at Crosshairs, who was now entertaining Drift and the others by making kissy faces, before prying one of her arms free, placing it on the back of my neck.

She smirked tiredly, and brought my face to hers, her lips caressing mine gently.

I hummed happily, and tightened my grip on her waist, not caring that Crosshairs might have actually gagged, or that our other companions had left us to ourselves.

All that mattered to me was what I held in my arms, my mouth pressed to hers. The sun set, leaving us in the darkness. We stayed that way for a long time, exchanging gentle words, and lazy kisses. It didn’t matter that we were in the darkness, for ____ was the light in my life.
