2015 Mercedes-AMG GT While offical pricing has not been announced, a sticker of about $120k is expected. The AMG GT will aim for a more affordable market niche than its SLS AMG GT predecessor, which cost about $100k more. Accordingly, power has been much reduced to a still considerable 462 hp from a twin turbocharged 4 liter V8, with the S version achieving 510 hp. It is also both smaller and lighter than the SLS. While it lacks the gullwing doors, the more rounded shape with soft curves is a descendant in spirit to the original 300SL. Over 90% of the lightweight spaceframe is manufactured from aluminum. A rear aerofoil extends at speed for improved traction.
