The Alfa Romeo Disco Volante by Touring, a front-central engine, two-seater coupe, is coachbuilt in the Touring atelier in Milan, Italy, as a series of 8 units for discerning collectors.

This concept vehicle is inspired by the iconic Touring-designed Alfa Romeo C52 of 1952, which influenced a number of celebrated sports cars of the decades following, earning the nickname "Disco Volante" (Flying Saucer).

The exciting new body incorporates 4,000+ hours of highly skilled manual work, aided by the most modern technologies. Gorgeous aluminum and carbon fiber panels dress the rolling chassis of the Alfa Romeo 8C Competizione, with its unchanged drivetrain, electrics and electronics systems. With its light and stiff structure, compact 4.7-liter, 450 PS V-8 engine coupled to a sequential paddle-shift transaxle gearbox, limited-slip differential and double wishbones suspension, the package provides stunning performance together with precise, dynamic and proactive drive.

This car is part of a range of bespoke-designed cars, coachbuilt in very limited runs to world-class quality standards. After winning the coveted Design Award at Villa d'Este this year, Disco Volante Number One makes its U.S. premiere, courtesy of its owner.

Another two units are currently under construction in Milan and will be delivered this fall to their discriminating customers.

The price of the Disco Volante is on demand. Delivery is in six months after the donor 8C is made available.
