You know since we're talking about human anatomy, gotta say that the head is actually harder than these

Verily Well, in some ways, anyway.
The main thing about heads is that humans identify each other by looking at each other's faces, so any errors in the way the face is constructed will stick out like a sore thumb, and may make the character look unrecognizeable. Heads, however, are mostly hard forms with few moving parts aside from the facial muscles.
Limbs, on the other hand, are complex structures composed of both hard and soft forms, and many, many moving parts. The shape of the arms or legs will change depending upon how they're held, whereas the shape of the head is fairly constant.

And it gets better, when you draw it in a 3/4 view angle everything has to look bigger on one side and smaller on the other
