I can never pick just one person when it comes to Aellie's (my Warden) romance option. Its early morning, I was browsing Aimo's page and was looking at her comic [link] which has a nice view of Varel at the end. At that moment I decided that the Seneschal, who saved my ass in more ways than one, needed a gal. And poof. This came into play.And this is what they're probably saying:
Varel: Commander, you made it. I did not doubt you. I cannot say how much you-
Aellie: Varel *chuckles* just shut up and kiss me.

There's just something about that one particular dialog option with him in the Keep:
Warden: So what does a Seneschal do?
Varel: As much as you like, Commander *sexy smirk*

0_o Varel didn't die in my epilogue! It said he lived and led the Silver Knights for a time!
That said, yeah, I really wish you could romance him. He's the sweetest guy in the game, and he saves your life. What a man.

Yeah, that's what I thought too. In one of the dialogue responses you can choose when he's dying, you can call a medic...but when the medic shows up, he's already dead...Sucks.
