Following the Cloud Strife Re-make [link] I felt that Cloud's been getting a lil' too much attention from my fanart -_-

So I decided to do a similar re-make image for mah original and besht Final Fantasy idol, Zidane ^_^

Once again, I had topinpoint the inspiration for the original character's costume and enhance that source. While Cloud's was simple, being a military uniform, Zidane's was a tad harder, as I had to dive into the history books to find it.

See, all the characters of Final Fantasy IX have costums enspired by 18th century Emperial dress, and by Emperial I mean the Brittish Empire, not some Chinese Dynasty... anyways, by looking at some of the clothes that colonials and the like used to wear, I could get a sence that this was were the inspiration for Final Fantasy IX had come from.

so, keeping the original costume very much in mind, I simply added more Victorian style detail to the costumeto get to what you see now.

Lucky thing my new scanner saved this piccies ass from lined paper too. Jeez I owe this machine allot now *strokes lovingly*

Was sketched in pencil, drawn over in marker,
scanned and edited in ArcSoft Photoshop.
