I recently started working with WildfireIllustration on possibly revamping Seven Sins and a Baby! Since the series kinda died ^^’ and it’s been super awesome to get a chance to redesign the sins, it’s brought me so much joy.
for a long time I’ve wanted to rework them, since their original designs were rather uninspired and not well thought out. I’m in love with my babies now that they’ve had their glow ups~

please please PLEASE go follow Flame because she’s amazing, and if/when any pages go up it will probably be on her page! Plus she has fantastic art and deserves all the love~

anyone, for anyone who’d like some character notes...

Sloth, the sin of laziness, lethargy, and indifference

PERSONALITY
- Quite snarky and and rude, often standing to the back making small quips or observations.
- Other than that he tends to be rather quiet, it’s easy to forget he’s there until he speaks again
- Tends to be rather indifferent to everything. Often when presented with choices he’ll shrug and say he doesn’t care, that is until her has a reason to choose otherwise such as spite or bribery
- Tends to be rather lazy and tries to avoid having responsibilities and skimp around rules, he will only do minimum effort in everything he does
- Usually rather chill and brushes things off pretty quick. It’s hard to make him mad (though if you WANT to make him mad, calling him a kid or a child will do the trick)

POWER DETAILS
- Sloth has always remained vague about his powers to the rest of the group, only a couple of the sins actually know what he can fully do.
- What is obvious on the surface is that Sloth and anything he wears can float and drift in air with full control, in an almost dreamlike way.

- Sloth can also sleep almost anywhere, even midair, though it’s unknown if this is a power or just who he is

FUN FACTS
- While he has the appearance of a 10-12 year old kid, mentally hes in his 20s, he’s an adult stuck the way he died
- He’s actually a mage, meaning he can do magic on top of his sin powers... the group doesn’t know though because he hasn’t done magic in front of them yet...
- Died from an accidental electrocution
- Has a tendency to break the forth wall sometimes
- Often ends up having to be the tie breaker in the group... which is unfortunate for them

CURRENT RELATIONSHIPS TO OTHER CHARACTERS

Wrath - Doesn’t really like Wrath as he quite often calls Sloth a kid as an insult or just to provoke him and it makes Sloth very mad. While he often lets Greed jump in and deal with it, Sloth will often do things just to spite Wrath because of it.
Gluttony - Feels mostly indifferent to her, she’s annoying he thinks she’s dumb sometimes but he likes her more than some of the others. He often just humors her and sometimes intentionally confuses her.
Greed - Perhaps his best friend in the group, they’ve both entrusted a secret to each other which caused them to bond quickly. They both love to joke together as well as make a lot of small, harmless bets together.
Envy - While he thinks she’s rather whiny and needs to get over her own issues, he respects her enough and can have casual conversations with her. He’s also convinced she’s a lesbian and doesn’t know it.
Pride - Despite taking the piss out of him like everyone else, Sloth also knows some things about Pride and Lust the others don’t. It’s caused him to have an odd pity for Pride. Hell still roast him all day, but his perspective is a little different.
Lust - Like Pride he knows a little more about Lust than other people do. Because of it, he treats Lust with a weird kind of respect, one that might be out of more fear than admiration. When Pride and Lust argue, he sides with Lust most of the time.
