It's nymph time
buckle up because nymphs are a weird ass species-

General Nymph Information ==> Nymphs is the overarching term the strange, social creatures are widely know as. They are considered the only mortal group of species that can posses natural magical talent to varying degrees. While many things make the species similar, all 3 are quite varied in general attitude and appearance. There are 3 nymphs, Dryads, Oreads, and Leimoniads , but they are more commonly known as "Unicorns", "Satyrs", and "Fairies". Within each group, there are at all times exactly 50 of each species, no more, no less, and half breeds aren't considered true nymphs. All groups contain a single sex and don't feel any primal instinct or desire to reproduce (although it doesn't stop the curiosity of the unicorns and satyrs) they also, unless cut shorter by outside forces, all nymphs live to exactly 100 years old before they pass on. When a nymph dies, their spirit and magic is immediately reborn in a special location and through a path of nature (varies for each group). These next lives are entirely new children, their appearances and memories unaffected by their previous life. However some rumor and theorize that some subtle parts of a nymphs personality might be influenced by their previous life's experiences, (particularly in interests and phobias). Nymphs also come in extremely varying appearances and are visually very diverse and individual. Each species has a large area they claim as home that typically posses a sort of mystical aura brought on by the nymph's mere existences in those areas for so long. While many kingdoms have shown interest in these areas, there has always been a hesitation to take over these locations... Nymphs are very useful allies and often hard to not become attached to. All nymphs are "born" with the appearance and intelligence of a 5 year old and age at a slightly slower rate then a human or elf. All true nymphs share 1 physical trait in common, that being a white, light emitting pupil that seem's to be a marker of their magic abilities. Half nymphs do not posses these eyes and it's actually hypothesized that if a nymph were to lose one or both eyes, it could affect their magic abilities, but that's unconfirmed.

Fairies ==> Fairies, sometimes called Leimoniads, are the most powerful magically but physically the weakest. Fairies are born in "The Glorious Meadow" as fairies call it, blossoming from flowers when they're reborn. Unlike their counter parts, fairies are extremely powerful, being able to do almost anything with enough rest and passion. However, they lack much stamina meaning after large spells a fairy may need to sleep for days at a time (and in rare cases may die if the spell is too major). Fairies are very small, being the size of a human hand, and can be caught with well enchanted objects, at least enchanted enough to where the fairy would pass out if they spent the energy to break free. Their wings are also fragile and unfortunately unfixable even with their own magic, making them extremely protective of their wings. In appearance, fairies take the forms of butterflies in most cases, occasionally taking forms as moths, bees, dragonflies, etc all of which their colors stem from. They also are consistently found with pointed ears and stubby feet. Personality is where fairies TRULY diverge from the other nymphs. Fairies take their nymph ego ten fold, seeing themselves higher and greater than all other mortal creatures. Most all fairies are extremely quick and easy to offend and irritating a fairy is a horrible life choice as fairies can be EXTREMELY spiteful and not afraid to act on it. Fairies travel the world as a mission from their goddess with the goal to "bless magicless creatures with fairy gifts". They'll have 1 fairy queen who will watch over young fairies and their home, but once a fairy reaches "adulthood" they will set off to "bless the world" until their goddess gives them instructions otherwise. Many people in the world have ended up cursed by irritating fairies but an equal amount can be blessed with great fortune if they are polite to a fairy helper. While Fairies are considered a positive thing you would hope to have happen to you, many people make it their goal to catch fairies and attempt to steal their magic, making the world not very safe for fairies in the long run. Whether you think fairies do what they do selflessly or out of ego... you should probably tell the fairy you believe the former if you wan't to make a wish. Fairies, due to their size and natural distaste for "animal desires" like sex, don't cross breed with other species, however there is something called "fairy-winked" that I'll dive into in some other post.
