Animation, comics, and cartoons have had a vast impact on me from my youngest days. From Sunday newspaper comic strips, to the old theatrical cartoons and cartoons on television, to the works of Miyazaki and other foreign films & shorts from around the world, to the abstract, different forms of animation (stop-motion, cutout, claymation, etc.), to the obscure, these characters are classics, famous or otherwise, and have influenced me just as much as any Disney character or superhero. The vast array of styles displayed here is a site to behold and I hope I did them all justice to their creators!

    Summer Wars is one of my new favorite anime movies and you gotta give Wolf Children a look if you're looking for a movie to make you cry! I need to sit down and watch the rest of Nocturna and Song of the Sea but from what I saw of them both are oozing with atmosphere and wonderful designs :3 Thank you for the faves and comments!!! <3

    I know this is highly belated but I watched Wolf Children before Summer Wars and that's honestly the best way to watch them because Summer Wars is much more upbeat and you'll probably need it after the bittersweetness of Wolf Children. I'm sure you'll love them both :3

    Haha, well I have seen Summer Wars; it's upbeat enough by the end though the one character death in it is a pretty big bummer/bittersweet, at least from my POV.
