In 's "Koopa Mario Kingdom",Β The Super Mario Brothers, Princess Peach, and Princess Daisy defeated Bowser permanently by turning him into stone. In retaliation, Kamek, Bowser's former Magikoopa advisor, used his magic wand to avenge his fallen king. However, it backfired as the spell magically transformed Mario, Peach, Luigi, and Daisy into koopas. Though confused at first, they strangely seem to enjoy being koopas. Sometime later, the toads and Bowser's army now live in an era of eternal peace, thanks to their new rulers of the entire Mushroom World. Mario and Luigi happily married Peach and Daisy, and the four become the new kings and queens of the Mushroom Kingdom.
