Sometimes, the hard part about Batman villains is that they're so defined by their gimmick that it can be a challenge to come up with an interesting re-interpretation that doesn't seem forced or contradictory to the essence of the character. With the Riddler, I was trying to expand on the "Hush" storyline which showed him as a puppet master playing Batman & the other characters off each other, remaining all the while, untouched!
