Finally updated! I was sort of balancing drawing and CGing this pic and writing an English essay, so sorry for any details that I might’ve forgotten…As I’ve been raving for the past few weeks, I am OBSESSED with Naruto right now, and Kakashi is one of my fave characters – he’s so cool and weird XD XD
Those of you who’ve read the manga will recognise this pic. I used heavy reference from the pic, and I used the same colour scheme as well. I really liked the way it was coloured, and I wanted to see if I could colour in the same way. But I can assure everybody, the drawing, colouring, and background (ahem) was all done by me.
Orright, this pic features Kakashi…doing nothing XD Man, that is what I want to be doing… and he’s reading Come Come Paradise, the book written by Perv-Senin XD XD Man, I wanna do a pic of him next – Perv Senin is way cool XD XD
Sorry that the background’s so unimaginative – I just sloshed some colours there coz, I, uh, didn’t want to do a proper background. Have I ever done a proper background?? XD
There’s a trillion mistakes I’m seeing now.. I screwed up one of Kakashi’s pockets on his jacket.. ah whatever, y’know.. just savour this pic, yeah?
I’ll try using this soft colouring style for a few of my pics. It’s definitely heaps of fun!

Kakashi is really cool he is my fav chara from Naruto, but they translated the name of the book, and the translation sucks :/ it would be more like "make out paradise" xD but there's no way we can translate the name truly

Anyhow, I love this! You completely got Kakashi's personality across (namely that relaxed, "Oh, were you trying to attack me? Sorry, try it again..." mocking nature of his! 
And what are you talking about, "unimaginative"?? That bg works perfectly with him! ^^ (I wish I could get a bg to look so nice... Mine are either horrid or take me forever to do, by which time I'm so fed-up with them that I hate them anyway...>.>;; )

Haha I know exactly what you mean with backgrounds. In the end I hate most of mine, whether I made them in five minutes or five days. I have a folder full of 'em o___O
Are you watching the English dub of Naruto? I've only seen subbed versions, but I would love to hear how Kakashi and Naruto sound XD I can't imagine what they'd sound like at all in English XD

Yep, we've got the dub here! It's still pretty funny (I've never seen the subbed eps), even though I wanna throw something at the TV midway through the episode-- Naruto chatters "Believe it!" after every-other sentence... Nnrgh...
The dub voices are pretty good though! Naruto is kinda squawky (good considering how much yelling he does), and Kakashi has a mysterious-sounding monotone. ^_^ Sakura sounds like a cheerleader. *eye twitches*

Naruto says "Believe it"? O.o Dat's weird..... in the original he just always says something that sounds like "De-ba-yo" (which, for the record, you apparently spell Debatteyou or something) but it doesn't actually mean anything, it's just an ending and none of the subtitles translate that.
I find Sakura a bit annoying in the original as well, though I've come to like her a bit more in the later episodes.
Argh no, did they edit stuff out? Damn that sucks.... did they chop out the bit where Naruto and Sasuke kiss in the first or second episode? That was a classic moment... I guess they also cut out a lot of the violence, eh. Have you read the manga yet, by the way?

It gets really annoying. Really quickly...>.>;; (About 2 episodes into the show and you're going, "GAAAH! ENOUGH!!" and ripping out handfuls of hair in frustration. x.x What makes it weirder is that I think he has a female voice actor in the English version. ._o;; Not sure though!)
I did hear that though, that he had some random phrase in the Japanese eps that didn't really mean anything, or meant some kind of slang phrase...

Ah, Kakashi. 
Anywho, this drawing is amazing, really. Your outlining's smooth and perfect, and the coloring blows my mind. You added so much definition to the hair by using a base coat and then dark and light shades to bring it out and make it look more defined than even the animator's for that cartoon.
This also applies to the outfit. Man, your skills never cease to amaze me. Certainly impressive.
Oh, and I don't want to forget about the soft background. It's like he's reading something whilst the sun sets. -sigh- I just adore warm colors like that. They compliment Kakashi in the best way. ^_^
