Ooh; this piece is mesmerizing.
I love the close up of him, the way you drew his expression. It actually seems like he's looking back, through the picture itself, at the viewer. Very chilling.
I also enjoy the effect you added to his eyes. And, as others have said, it does seem like he's standing in some sort of substance; I won't go as far as saying toxins or anything of the like, since I can't be certain but I'm sure you'll reveal it in due time.
Your artwork has definitely improved, but that isn't surprising to me. You're the type of individual who has a lot of promise, and you rarely disappoint.
