Inks for the 2000ad Dredd cover I'm doing.I was to do a generic cover that could be good for any story. So finally I get to use the old 'big head with city at the bottom' idea. I've been nurturing it for about 2 years. Pretty much the same city at the bottom as the Space Chick assignment i did. Why waste it.
Inked with brush. I think I'm done with crowquil, I have no control over it. back to good old rapidograph.
Not real happy with the inks, I'll try and save it with the colors. I dunno.

It seems a little more "dynamic" to me, and very good inking overall.
If you're interested in control, yeah, I'd recommend the rapidograph too, but they sometimes seem too "static" to me, especially if not coupled with a brush.
In the end though, whatever feels right is the best choice.

I know your inking capabilities, since I've been a fan of your work for some time now.
I don't doubt that whatever you'll use, you can make it work greatly.

You're never going to be happy with your work, so accepting that as soon as possible will help you out.
Don't know if you're talking about not having control over the brush or quill, but both take time and patience. I hope you stick with brush because it's capable of doing pretty much anything and everything if you put in the time and practice.

yeah, i really can't look at the work i produce for at least a week. it really messes with me
mostly the quill. I found 2 brushes that i like. I just don;t like the quill anymore.
