Description A doll made of a kitsune from last year. Clay face, forelimbs, and tail. Silk kimono, cotton obi, and some Minkie-esque fabric for the body.
She is posable by my old doll standards, with a wire armature inside.

"Kitsune is the Japanese word for fox. Foxes are a common subject of Japanese folklore; kitsune usually refers to them in this context. Stories depict them as intelligent beings and as possessing magical abilities that increase with their age and wisdom. Foremost among these is the ability to assume human form. While some folktales speak of kitsune employing this ability to trick othersβ€”as foxes in folklore often doβ€”other stories portray them as faithful guardians, friends, lovers, and wives."

Good Lord this looks like tiny sewing. Your clothes are fantastic, the kimono looks great and has been very well sized. As only your secnd attempt, this is brilliant. I really can't find anything I would improve. The face is well painted and I'm still in love with the clothng. Well done!

Thank you very much! I found a patterny-doo for the kimono, and had never sewn with silk before. If you peek under it, it's LITERALLY herd together with hot glue. XD Mmmm, inexperience.

I'm STILL kicking myself over the cracks. I brought her to the middle school that feeds into my high school (They are LITERALLY up the hill from us) to encourage kids to sign up for ceramics, and while zealously discussing things with my old photo teacher, I bumped her off the table. ; A;

Nuuuu! >.< Aw, poor you and poor kitsune. She does, still, look excellent.

Ah, the hot glue gun can be good ^^ And silk and satin are absolute buggers to sew, especially for any small details.

I bought some to remake the kimono, but unless I'm going to sell her or something, I don't feel like going through all that junk. I guess folding the edges over a time or two would get it to hold, but yeah, inexperience.

Yeah, just fold it over, that'd be fine. I take the "near enough is good enough" approach for anything I'm doing for myself. For others, I'm meticulous. But stuff for me isn't so much
