To get the full effect of this image; one has to view it large. A small city exists in the brambles of the grass, revealing a pathway to the left and the right blocked by lighter toned obstacles. A metaphor. The darkest tone of all exists at the trunk of the center tree; indicating separation from the brambles of the grass. A monarch overlooking their subjects, clustered and frayed in the field before them. Even the trees in the background do not come close to her authority, the central tree is of utmost importance. The darkness within the tree, within the shade, separate it so. But also. The way the tree carries itself; imposingly, elegantly.Β
The dominant tree, however; expressed duality. It is frayed, split in two, as if incomplete and at war with itself. It wants to rule the chaos, before it, but it is only a tree and the people below are so chaotic, so different, so foreign to it. It is life, yet so are they. Its life is frayed, cracked, and at the branches it is lazy..Β calm..wanting to grow, showing fruit of itself growing..but with no idea where it wants to grow to. It is, a foreign object, an alien..respite in the colony of chaos.Β
Unless it wants to break out, and become what it was born to be - a ruler.

It was a nice little journey reading this...Thank you for it. I don't have many beautiful words to return this time except that it's interesting...I actually felt like you were describing some things I actually feel in my own life. It's also strange to me that my name is Thomas (literally "Twin") and that my astrological symbol is The Scales. Coincidence? I often feel split or torn, perpetually on the fence.Β
If I were to put any stock in the...Metaphysics of celestial motion, then apparently I am a Libra Air Dragon. It's lovely imagery if nothing else.
