After a stint at the Canadian National Expo at Toronto and some tours at Ottawa, Montreal and Kingston, Flying Scotsman (Scott) was venturing his way to San Fransisco in California during its ill-fated American tour. Here he is seen crossing the beautiful scenic Rocky Mountains. But along the way, he was short on coal and had to be diesel hauled by five diesel locomotives at one point during its journey. But Scott didn't mind, he was pleased to at least have a break from crossing the United States.
