While Devon is a rough and tough diesel, March is the polar opposite and can be considered as a worrisome sort, or in Devon's case "A worry wart about everything." However, these worries come from a few years of mechanical faults before being purchased and restored by the museum. Despite this, March often worries that one day he will breakdown and they won't be able to repair him. He often looks to Derek for advice on how he manages with his teething troubles whenever the Class 17 visited the museum. Despite all this, Devon will try his best with rail tours and fetching supplies for his friends.
