Description
Two E2 tank engines are placed in storage at Brighton Works in 1962 at the same time, number 32101 (Alec) and number 32105 (Alexis) were withdrawn from service in September of that year. A month and half later, both tank engines are approached by a certain stout gentleman in a top hat who informs them both that they have been bought to work on his railway on the Island of Sodor. Both Alec and Alexis were thrilled that they have been saved from scrap by the one and only Sir Topham Hatt.
