Her name means "lion of God" in Hebrew, which is a reference for her love of lions she sought during her travels. Her cheek emblems are inverted water drops. The wand she wield is based on a compass. (I used the compass from Zelda as a reference)

Daughter of Crecelia, the Fairy, Ariel learned many things from her mother about her travels to Pixtopia dimension. She became the first queen to set to travel on the seas of Mewni. She was accompanied by her younger sister Tania Butterfly, who has her love for being a sailor and wanting to travel on sea as well. Both sisters went on expeditions to discover many treasures that lies out in the seas, as well unidentified islands and Aquatic species like mermaids and dolphins. She would later marry her husband Wallace Atlantica in 163 a.M and would go out to explore for their honeymoon. After years of exploring, Ariel stepped down as a traveler and passed the title to her sister to finish up the expeditions. The reason for this was because.... she became a mother of four children.

She gave birth to Glacia, the Queen of Snow in 176 a.M, Arctica Butterfly-Passion in 178 a.M, Brycen Butterfly in 181 a.M, and Triton Butterfly-Grove in 182 a.M.

Fun Fact: Glossaryck stated that Ariel was once fair skinned like her mother Crecelia, before she gotten herself a tan due to being outdoors all the time.

Her history was discovered by her 8x great-granddaughter Galene, the Protector of Sea, who also has her love for the Mewni sea.

Haven't made any tapestries for a while and I really wanted to work on Ariel's, since I had a previous sketch of her. I decided to remake this one because I wasn't happy on the results a while back. This one took me a lot of time to draw the background, but I suck at drawing the water. :/

I really like how this one came out. I will also post up her sister sometime later.

NOTE 5/16/21: She will no longer be used as a queen since she will be replaced by a new queen, but will be related to her and be involved in her story
