reminded me about the shark lady I designed..well doodled a few months ago. ...and it dawned on me I had started a ref of her but forgot about her completely

She was originally just a shark with lipstick

Well she still is but um....well...OH LOOK SOMETHING INTERESTING BEHIND YOU!!!.

Anywaaay I messed about with her design a bit to add a bit more to her and gave her a name and back story so here be Narina

Name: Nerina (NEH-REEN-AH)

Age: 370 years old.

Backstory

Once a beautiful and skilled pirate Narina whilst caught in a storm on land was offered shelter by a kindly old woman. In the middle of the night despite the old woman's kindness Narina stole two beautiful gold rings from the house.

The old woman was in fact a powerful Sorceress who enraged by the betrayal of trust found and cursed the pirate to remain in shark form for a thousand years and embedded the rings she stole to her body to remind her of her greed.

She would however be allowed to return to a form that allows her to return to land for one full week every year

Rather than being driven to despair by her transformation Narina embraced her fate and came to love her new form and was even able to teach herself to use magic using the power from the rings the Sorceress unknowingly imbued with power.

Using her magic she changed her own appearance to her own liking and spends most her time exploring the seas enjoying herself.

Personality

Extreamly happy and cheerful she enjoys chatting with anyone who is willing to speak with her and can talk for hours and hours without getting bored.

Whilst her form may limit romance she is still somewhat of a flirt and has no qualms about lifting any males that take her fancy from ships or land close enough to her with her magic to amuse herself with.

Very very aggressive should anyone be stupid enough to attack her and is thought to be responsible for the disappearance of many fishing boats.

Fond of scaring people at beaches or in small boats by faking an attack when bored but never goes beyond bumping them with her snout or circling them.

Abilities

Powerful magic user. Capable of telekinesis from quite a distance and has slight control over the sea and can cause powerful waves or even maelstroms to damage ships if she so wishes.

Able to talk with any creature telepathically so she is never short of people/creatures to chat too.

Does not tire unless using powerful magic and requires no sleep so is able to travel vast distances with ease.

Can change certain aspects of her appearance. Namely her markings, size and make up though this is usually just for her own entertainment.

Weaknesses

Magical use slightly weakens her and she has a large appetite that means she must hunt for food a lot.

Like all sharks she cannot leave the water without being killed. So baring that one week each year she is bound to the ocean.

Her anthro form has no magic whatsoever and thusly she has to be extra careful when on land.

Miscellaneous

Has adopted the role of protector of the sea and will attack anyone that mindless attacks other sea life and watches fishermen to ensure they dont take more than the need. Will kill anyone attempting shark fishing or whaling without hesitation or mercy.

After catching a younger Thornacious sniffing about near a lagoon she persuaded him to deal with Whalers who escaped her wrath in exchange for some affection which she was happy to give anyway and some treasure.

Nowadays she regularly visits the lake where Thorn's castle sits and enjoys chatting with his son Apollo who is usually the first to greet her whenever she is seen. And also enjoys the company of Lupin who can talk for hours if given the chance.

Greatly dislikes human males but does not seem to have a problem with human females.

Speaks with a soft Caribbean accent.
