Description
9-10 year old digital painting of Michelle Rodriguez that I never finished. I cropped out the really unfinished parts.
Done in photoshop and with a mouse. I no longer have the reference and will probably never finish it, but it's a nice trip down memory lane.

I got a tablet for my birthday and the thing's driving me nuts. It's just not the same drawing without paper!
Not only can I draw, but I can draw everything up to the face. That's when people lose nostrils and lips... and enough space in their head for their brains.

It's okay. I barely got mine for my birthday, and not everyone uses them for digital work anyway. If only I knew how scared I would be of it. 
Ugh. I'm just having a hard time figuring out what I am supposed to do. I mean, I'm a graphic design major, but I'm not to the point where we do actual illustrations yet... and the fact I don't get to smear my beloved charcoal over delicious white paper confuses me.

A MOUSE?! Dude, that's epic! It looks like her too. Usually I can't make people look like who they're supposed to unless its with a pencil in my sketchbook doing messy drawings XD The lighting is spot on, again.
The shading on the hair seems a little bit random though, the brightest highlights seem to cover a large area but that's the only thing I could pick on really, and only if I really stare hard at it.
I think the eyes are my favourite part here, they're just so well done, it feels like she's going to blink!

The hair is random. It was before I figured out some hair techniques and that's the unfinished part (along with her ear and neck which I cropped out). If I make another digital painting I'll have to check out tutorials for it again.
The eyes are my favorite part too! I spent so much time on them trying to get it right. The mouth was a lot of fun, but the nose was rough.

I can't give away all my secrets!
The mouse isn't bad, I think it just takes longer (and a low setting smudge tool helps). I are slow in general with things like this. Some people can spit this out in 8 hours. Takes me months.
