Description Outside the church of the Holy Rude in Stirling, Scotland is the Valley Cemetery. In past times it was the site of jousting tournaments and markets. The Cemetery has a Pyramid, built by William Drummond in 1863.
This area was laid out as a public pleasure ground by local nurseryman and evangelist, William Drummond. The Star Pyramid, with its texts and emblems, was nearing completion in April 1863, when a bible and the Confession of faith were sealed into a chamber within the structure. It recalls the principles of the Reformation and publicised the famous Drummond Tract Enterprises.

Seeing a pyramid in Scotland is very particular, in my advice. Well, we have to consider that in the XIXth century scottish, french and english researchers and teachers analyzed in a deeper way the study of the of Egyptian culture, religion, and architecture. That's why probably we start seeing is type of buildings in France, Scotland and England since 1830. We can see that this type of pyramid is linked why the egyptian type/ Near East type for its straight sides, without steps.

The whole composition is noble, deep and mystic, the black and white with a so high contrast sharps the feeling of hundreds untold stories among the deads, in a parralel universe. It seems somehow the entry to the worls of the dead, an insivible portal that leads the human beings in the path of an historical mysticism. We only feel the desire to cross this portal, looking at this dark cloudy sky, and see what the destiny has drawn for us. Definetly one o the the best black and white works I've ever seen in this category.

Wow, I really love your gallery...it has such an awesome gothic tone to it. You capture the best subjects and concepts with great angles. The posisition from where you took this was perfect...you show just the right amount of sky, allowing the dark to contain the image and really set the tone. Great job.

I'm really happy to hear that you like my gallery I've been in dA soon for two years and finally I can see some progress in my skills. Still being quite an amateur, but hopefully a semi-professional some day I've always loved to play with the shadows in pictures. I think Scotland and the old houses, the style of architecture here fits my style a lot of murky corners, rough shapes... just creepy enough ^^

Congratulations for being here that long Your work definitely shows improvement, and I think it hardly seems amateur.
The shadows are indeed what make your pictures, and yes, just the perfect creepy. You capture all of it perfectly.

I'm doing quite fine, the Scottish dialect is... well, interesting Hurt my leg while carrying a bag that contained a vegetable cutter, the blade had gone loose and hit my thigh, now I have a nice 5cm wound in it otherwise I'm quite fine.
