Thank you.

I do have pics some place. I snuck inside one day. It'd make a great place to shoot a horror moving too. There are secret doors that lead to a third level. Very cool inside.

Well... I searched through my old photos and only found one that shows the inside of that white house. Unfortunately it doesn't show very much at all.

The inside is bare of all furnishings. Tons of dust. There's a tri-level dark brown staircase that leads to the second level. The wall along the staircase has red victorian flocked wallpaper that must be 75 years old. Beyond that there isn't anything else to see. Sorry. I wish I had more photos.

I love to explore abandoned houses and old buildings, my son and I go quite often and take pictures, you see some pretty amazing stuff in them. It's fun to sit back and imagine what the people that lived there must have been like. This house is amazing. You have some great shots of old houses on here.

As I understand it, this house was once owned by John Madden, the current football analyst and former Oakland Raiders head coach. It's currently owned by a winery that's behind it. Also, that old shack next to it is no longer there. They just recently knocked it down.

I think that's an extraordinary building...they shouldn't modify anything...i studied architecury for 4 years, and I'd leave it just like that because it has a beautiful composition, and your way of surprising that is really nice...

Thank you for looking at "White House." I really appreciate your visits and your thoughts.

Unfortunately they've already started to work on it. Hopefully they'll keep the same basic architecture and idea. Its a beautiful old house. I'm glad I had the chance to capture it prior to any work.

Thank you. I think they're going to re-model that house, so I caught it just in time.

Really nice composition here. Also the black and white works well in this shot. Nice work!

I noticed next to the house is that other little building that you shot with the shadow of the tree on it.

You're correct. The little house I think used to be the maid quaters or something like that. When I went the first time there was a crwe of people working on the main house, so I just shot the little or old house. I went buy a few days later and no one was there so I got the shots I actually wanted. There's a number of these type of old run down houses. I have another one I haven't posted yet, but will that I hope is good.

Thank you.

Currently yes. This house is abandoned. They're redeveloping some of the original houses along this strip of road. The entire area is vineyards, and this particular house, along with the rundown guest house, is sitting about 100 feet from a upscale winery. My job brings me out this way 2 to 3 times a week, so I just bring my little camera and shoot away. In fact I'm heading out that way in a couple of hours. I need to learn how to make better use of light though.
