If you play/have played Lost Saga (or, in Veruka's case, King of Fighters), you will probably be able to get this reference.I had an idea once to draw Random Doom characters as heroes from Lost Saga (when I was playing) based on the certain skills, and I immediately thought of this; Veruka as Kyo Kusanagi (because of fire and fist fighting) even though, originally, Kyo is male.
I don't own anything other than the art itself. Veruka belongs to TamarinFrog. Kyo Kusanagi belongs to SNK + Lost Saga.
UPDATE: changed the background to fire to match up with Napoleon's water background.

It's just that not may people seem to know of these types of games, but there are those out there (like me) that can make references to some not very well known things.

I'm not that familiar with King of Fighters either, but Lost Saga is how I found the specific character.
