well o.k it is basically just smudging and painting,i used blur tool for the Volcanic backdrop.i also followed a Tutorial By Linda Bergkvist's "Winterdance".wich is starting with a black backdrop and outlining in white,and also with light opacity figuring out where the light sourcing goes.Related content

Very nice work with primarily black and white colors. Often an artist will use many colors to create a brilliant work, but this has achieved the same quality with pure contrast. Favorite.
Also, I noticed you mentioned in your Artist's Comments that you followed a tutorial by a lady. Could you perhaps include the link to her work as well?

Aha, thank you. It was the artist I was looking for, not the tutorial... I'll never be an artist like most of the people on this site. I'm a writer, I just appreciate the diversity, color, detail and eloquence of the fine art many of the creators here produce.

thank you maura your right,but i am not complaining,i find less and less of my work is accepted at epi.but im finding myself,im just not that much interested in fantasy any more.thats not Epis fault.
it has been the most incredibly helpfull website,i've learnt so much and perhaps made a few friends too.ahhh :cool:

I'm adding this to my favourites. It is really cool, and very creative. I never know what's up with some of those epilogue editors, I see something that's a lot more creative than most of the stuff that shows up there. I think some of them have a limited way of looking at art (as does the majority of the population I guess), and arn't very eccepting of new ideas. They're nice people, but I often disagree with them on more modern ideas. Keep doing your own thing, everyone elce's standards are crap (including mine).
