I actually didn't like her much at first, but after going back and rewatching it after taking in more tokusatsu/magical girl stuff I sort of 'got' what they were going for and came to like her a lot. I also like how she progress from hero worship of Lina to friendship to pretending she didn't see her in a crowd to not being too bothered when her ship accidentally fired on the pirate ship she was raiding.
